Pay Range: £29,000 to £31,500 (pro‑rated for part‑time)
Overview
The Employment Adviser supports long‑term unemployed participants, helping them to overcome barriers and secure sustainable employment through tailored guidance, CV and interview support, and engagement with local employers.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a caseload of participants, identifying barriers and creating tailored action plans to progress them into employment.
- Deliver one‑to‑one coaching, including CV writing, interview preparation and skills development.
- Meet and exceed performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with participants to build confidence and a positive mindset for job searching.
- Engage with local employers to identify job opportunities and support participants with job offers.
- Signpost participants to internal and external stakeholders for support with health, housing, financial or other barriers.
- Promote the Restart Scheme within the community, raising awareness of its benefits.
- Provide inclusive support and advice to people from all backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated coaching / mentoring experience and persuasive / influencing skills.
- Experience in a customer‑facing environment (e.g., Customer Service, Hospitality, Social Care, Sales).
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, performance‑target driven environment.
- Willingness to travel locally to meet participants and employers.
- Minimum of 2 A‑Levels or an equivalent Level3 Diploma.
- GCSE English Language at least GradeB (or equivalent Level2 qualification).
- Achievement of Level2 in Literacy Assessment or International Equivalents.
- Fluency in more than one language (desirable).
