We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for Learning Partners to join our Capability team here at Tesco. There are permanent and fixed term contract opportunities available.
The successful candidates will be responsible for leading the scope, design, and development of strategically aligned learning solutions for colleagues and managers across the Tesco group. Building blended solutions that equip colleagues and managers with the right skills, behaviours, and values to deliver our strategic priorities. With significant experience in blended, innovative learning design, you'll be able to balance a more strategic perspective with a pragmatic approach in providing expert advice and suggesting creative solutions to colleague and manager development gaps.
This role would suit someone creative with end to end learning needs analysis and a blended learning design background.

You will be responsible for
6. Contribute to the creation of a capability strategy that builds critical colleague and manager capabilities for now and in the future (both skills and behaviours).
7. Translate data-informed development needs to learning solutions that align with key initiatives at a strategic level.
8. Use your experience of developing critical capabilities to curate and/or design leading-edge learning interventions in partnership with external experts and stakeholders from across the business, using creativity, latest thinking, and technology to enhance the learner experience.
9. Manage end-to-end complex learning design to address development needs, utilizing a variety of learning formats (digital, F2F, video,. Act as the SME on design content, drawing on external thinking to create sustainable and leading-edge solutions.
10. Work across all markets to ensure products are researched and designed to be fit for purpose and sustainable across the group.
11. Work with TBS (Tesco Business Services) to develop the right blend of solutions that help our colleagues and managers to build their ability to self-serve on learning.
12. Be accountable for ensuring centrally owned development programs are designed and delivered within agreed timescales and budget.
13. Act as the SME for core learning products, ensuring the right level of engagement, sign-off, and sign-up across all markets and areas in the Tesco group.
14. Work in partnership with delivery teams to build trainer capability and understanding of products by running pilots and train-the-trainers for new material.
15. Partner across markets and with senior stakeholders, acting as a credible expert providing advice and recommendations on leading-edge development solutions to support bespoke development needs.
16. Support the sign-off and engagement of new learning solutions both inside the people team and across the business.
17. Work with subject matter experts across the business to ensure both the what and how (skills and behaviorus) are incorporated into learning solutions, ensuring the best learning experience for colleagues and managers.
18. Ensure we strive for a learner-led, simple, and accessible group capability offer that is data-led and supports our strategic priorities.
19. Work seamlessly across the people operating model and wider capability PoE (UK, Group & TBS) to respond to the changing needs of the business in an agile manner while always keeping the learner experience at the heart of everything we do.
20. Maintain expertise and continued professional development, be a thought leader in your space, and strive for continuous improvement across the capability catalogue.
21. Use data and analytics to critically review and evaluate existing development solutions. Present data in a compelling way to report back to the business, make recommendations for improvements, and support future business cases.
22. Champion and role model our Win Together behaviours, contributing to a cultural change program across the Tesco group and actively driving a culture of learning.
23. Work with the learning governance team and learning delivery team to ensure all content is on the capacity plan and effectively deployed.
24. Work with the learning technology team to ensure a digital learner experience is championed.
25. Collaborate with other PoE teams (Talent, D&I) to ensure learning solutions connect with the wider business agenda and align with our inclusion priorities.
26. Engage and manage relationships with external partners in line with internal best practices, ensuring they deliver value for money.
27. Ensure that group processes are followed in sourcing external partners and that all design work falls within agreed budgets. Manage budget line forecasting and accountability.
28. Digital Skills Awareness: Stay updated with the latest digital skills and trends, ensuring learning solutions incorporate relevant digital competencies.
29. Content Curation: Curate high-quality content from various sources to enhance learning solutions and ensure they are up-to-date and relevant.
You will need
30. Creative, end to end learning needs analysis and blended learning design
31. Strong learning design across a variety of formats and levels - virtual, blended, online, using latest thinking and approaches
32. Proven ability to bring external best practice into Tesco - strong external network and a focus on CPD is important
33. Expert understanding of diversity and inclusion challenges and opportunities
34. Knowledge and experience of both technical and behavioural learning design
35. Strong network of talent / development specialists to draw on external best practice
36. Senior stakeholder management, in particular building trusted relationships with a diverse group of international stakeholders
37. Able to demonstrate knowledge of the latest learning trends and how people learn
