Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Canteen Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
* Assist in food preparation, ensuring all meals are prepared according to established recipes and standards.
* Serve food and beverages to customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Handle transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
* Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Experience
* Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred, showcasing familiarity with food preparation techniques.
* Culinary experience is advantageous, particularly in fast-paced settings.
* Strong time management skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
* A solid understanding of food safety practices is required to maintain health standards in the canteen.
