An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a professional and experienced domestic couple to join a private residence in Sawbridgeworth. This dual-role position supports a high-profile principal who resides in the UK for fewer than 90 days per year, typically in 1-to-2-week intervals. When in residence, the couple will ensure the household operates smoothly, providing chauffeur duties, estate liaison, housekeeping, and high-standard meal preparation.
Working Days/Hours: Working up to 40 hours per week over 5 days
When the principal is in residence, hours will vary based on their plans and will be communicated prior to their arrival. Please note that longer hours and weekend work will be when they are in residence. Any additional hours will be compensated with time off in lieu. The principal is in the UK between less than 90 days within the year at 1-to-2-week intervals.
Housekeeper/Chef Responsibilities
* Prepare and present a variety of nutritious, high-quality meals including fresh juices, smoothies, salads, and cuisine tailored to dietary needs
* Handle grocery shopping and maintain well-stocked pantry and kitchen
* Deliver silver service when required and assist with external chefs for special occasions
* Maintain cleanliness, laundry, and general housekeeping standards throughout the home
* Prepare guest rooms and assist in events setup
* Coordinate with other household staff to ensure seamless service
Driver/Industrial Estate Liaison Responsibilities
* Provide chauffeur services to the principal and guests, often into London, including early mornings and evenings
* Maintain a fleet of approximately 50 luxury vehicles, ensuring regular checks, servicing, and readiness
* Stock vehicles with essentials such as water, phone chargers, and amenities
* Liaise professionally with tenants at an adjacent industrial estate, ensuring any issues are addressed efficiently
* Be on-call for emergencies and oversee property security in collaboration with the wider team
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in similar live-in domestic couple roles
* Trustworthy, discreet, and dependable
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Flexibility with working hours and availability during principal's visits
* No children or pets permitted due to accommodation and lifestyle requirements.
Start date: ASAP but happy to wait for the right domestic couple
Salary: £70K gross per year combined
Benefits: Private Healthcare, pension, live-in accommodation (2 bedroom apartment), utilities includes (excluding food).
