About The Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving Grainger & Worrall’s growth strategy by identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding our market presence, and fostering strategic partnerships. You will collaborate with the Business Development Directors and other key stakeholders to develop long-term client relationships and ensure alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Establishing, implementing, and evolving business development strategies to achieve order intake targets.
* Monitoring industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and obstacles.
* Creating and maintaining a solid pipeline of potential opportunities to develop new orders, partnerships, and revenue streams.
* Building and nurturing strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry peers.
* Guiding negotiations, securing contracts, and ensuring successful onboarding of new customers or partners.
* Overseeing and guiding the wider business winning team, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
* Collaborating with delivery, engineering, finance, supplier management, and the wider team to ensure a coordinated approach to business winning and market penetration.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll have a proven track record in business development, with experience in the aerospace, automotive, defence or another highly regulated industry sector. You should be motivated by the opportunity to join a medium-sized company and play a significant role in its expansion.
* Experience in business development and sales within one or more of the specified industry sectors, preferably with experience working for Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers.
* Proven track record of driving significant order book growth and closing high-value and/or complex deals.
* Strong influence and negotiation skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Strategic thinking and ability to solve complex problems.
* Proficiency in CRM tools and data analysis.
* High level of flexibility to travel across the UK and Europe and be on-site with internal stakeholders in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
