To ensure the continued quality of care, we are looking for a Podiatrist to support us and the existing teams to work 12 hours a month at HMP Whatton. There is no on-call or weekend work to allow for a strong work life balance!
You will be part of a forward thinking, innovative health care team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and mental health professionals, delivering high quality, best practice treatment. You will also be part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team comprising physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 58 prisons across the country. You will be closely supported and mentored by our Team Lead Podiatrist, and this, combined with our well-developed appraisal system, in-service training and funding for external clinical courses, will provide you with an excellent supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Support and deliver podiatry care within HMP Whatton, contributing to high quality patient outcomes.
* Collaborate with an integrated team of GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and mental health professionals to provide best practice treatment.
* Engage with the wider MSK Health in Justice Team across prisons, sharing knowledge and developing skills.
* Participate in the appraisal system and access in-service training and external clinical courses as available.
Qualifications and requirements
* Role requires a Podiatrist who is prepared to work in a prison environment and commit to the stated hours.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues.
