CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Supervisor to join our team in Manchester. As a Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical services to our clients, ensuring compliance with legislative, client, and CBRE health, safety, and environmental programs.
About the Role:
As a Technical Supervisor, you will be the site point of contact for all technical service delivery, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring the effective execution of all maintenance work. You will drive initiatives to maximize self-performed work, manage specialist subcontractors, and identify business opportunities for expanded scope and additional services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver technical services that meet or exceed client expectations, ensuring compliance with legislative, client, and CBRE health, safety, and environmental programs.
* Manage a team of technicians to deliver technical services, focusing on maximizing self-performed work.
* Oversee specialist subcontractors to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings to enhance service delivery.
* Manage budgets aligned with service line and contract specifications.
* Provide solutions and quotations for small project works.
* Identify and pursue potential business opportunities for increased scope and services.
* Carry out maintenance and repair activities as needed.
* Ensure effective technical service delivery on site.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience in a technical supervisory role, preferably in facilities management or maintenance.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency with work order systems and scheduling software.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Engineering background with the ability to estimate labor, materials, and skills required for jobs.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to read blueprints, machine, and process drawings, and to redline drawings.
* Knowledge of maintenance processes, work order systems, and storeroom procedures.
* Ability to train others and demonstrate job requirements.
* Willingness to lead by example through practical maintenance and installation tasks.
