The Senior Individual Giving Executive sits within the Acquisition Team. They play a key role in managing fundraising campaigns, overseeing more junior team members and feeding into future planning and budgeting activity across the Individual Giving department.
What You'll Be Doing as a Senior Individual Giving Executive:
Strategic responsibility
1. To support the Individual Giving Manager or Senior Individual Giving Manager in the on-going development of the supporter acquisition programme, by providing comprehensive evaluation of campaigns, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for future activity.
Budgets and planning
2. To support the Individual Giving Management team with the development of annual Individual Giving campaign plans and their implementation.
3. To monitor the budget of the campaigns managed, where appropriate - including significant expenditure of £500k+.
4. To work with the Individual Giving Manager or Senior Individual Giving Manager to monitor budgets on a monthly basis and forecast income and expenditure, including reporting on monthly budget variances.
Campaign delivery:
5. To manage the day to day running of Individual Giving campaigns; including campaign planning, overseeing creative development, liaising with key stakeholders, co-ordinating print and production, ensuring fundraising is compliant with the CIoF Code of Conduct and analysing results and feeding back to agencies.
6. To assist with the analysis, evaluation and reporting of campaigns, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for future activity.
7. To manage the invoicing process and campaign income and expenditure, as well as budgets and reforecasting.
8. To undertake research about Barnardo's work for fundraising projects and campaigns.
9. To assist in the selection briefing and sign off of data for all Individual Giving campaigns managed.
10. To assist with planning of yearly campaign plans, strategy and budgets. Managing internal and external relationships:
11. To ensure that all activities with external suppliers are integrated to support overall fundraising objectives, and that they complement and support Barnardo's key messages and brand requirements.
12. To develop and maintain relationships with key Individual Giving stakeholders both internally and externally.
13. To effectively champion Individual Giving activities across Barnardo's.
Management:
14. To mentor Individual Giving Assistants/Executives, supporting them during their probation and induction period, assessing their on-going training needs, and providing and implementing training recommendations.
15. To increase Individual Giving Assistants/Executives' direct marketing and fundraising knowledge, as well as their understanding of campaign management internal/external processes.
16. To monitor Individual Giving Assistants/Executives management of campaigns, providing them with the support and knowledge they need to ensure campaigns are delivered to time and budget.
17. Deputise, as appropriate, for Individual Giving Acquisition Manager.

Key Activities:
22. The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing campaigns from within the Acquisition Individual Giving portfolio. However, how work is split across the team is reviewed regularly to allow opportunities for development.
23. All campaign managers are responsible for managing projects from start to finish, including developing testing plans, creative development, analysing results and making recommendations.
24. All roles also involve managing strategic projects with the appropriate level of support.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Senior Individual Giving Executive who can:
25. Knowledge of Fundraising / Marketing gained through experience (desirable)
26. Educated to a degree level or equivalent professional qualification (desirable)
27. Experience
28. Experience project managing digital marketing campaigns across digital channel
29. Understanding of and an ability to manage and monitor budgets.
30. Experience of putting together data briefs and an understanding of the principals of data segmentation for use in fundraising campaigns.
31. Experience of evaluating the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns.
32. Experience of briefing and building relationships with external suppliers.
