Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £12.87 an hour; this increases to £14.08 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
Availability
Minimum 16 guaranteed hours each week. Flexible options are available down to 12 hours. Availability windows:
* Tuesday 09:00 – 17:00
* Wednesday 09:00 – 16:30
* Thursday 11:00 – 19:00
* Friday 11:00 – 19:00
The schedule will be confirmed with a minimum of three weeks’ notice.
Responsibilities
* Support the operation of our modern pharmacies.
* Apply technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication.
* Dispense prescription medicines with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Communicate confidently, friendly and professionally with customers.
* Offer information on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Take time to understand customers’ needs and advise on products that are right for them.
* Advise customers on pharmacy services available.
* Execute dispensing process in line with SOPs.
* Assess legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Handle clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within competence.
* Respond to customer queries regarding prescription medicines and report complaints to the pharmacist.
* Follow all dispensing routines and SOPs.
* Maintain cleanliness and order within dispensary and consulting rooms.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of prescription administration.
* Bring promotional activities and company initiatives to life within the team.
* Carry out all procedures accurately to protect profit and trade safely.
* Complete corporate and departmental training.
* Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications & Training
* Qualifications gained from working in a pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop further in pharmacy.
