This role supports the delivery of mobile solutions for our customers. This role will look at the feasibility of sites for customer mobile solutions. It will proactively assess assets and sites to be able to make the best recommendations to our customers on appropriate locations to maximise service and fully meet the customer requirements. The key purpose of the role is to make sure every customer gets the best possible data centre that meets the customer requirements service from the initial request for help through until the issue is resolved. Where problems occur, taking ownership to quickly fix them whilst keeping our customer fully up to date with progress.



The role holder is accountable for supporting the delivery of small cells and ensuring our contractors survey & build the small cell as per the design document. You will have excellent project management skills and a good technical & practical background to understand the design, D&I and Ethics: You will be responsible for helping to create an inclusive working environment where people from all backgrounds can succeed. What you'll be doing

• Accountable for supporting the delivery of the small cells product portfolio including Lampposts, Payphones, Street Hub and other new work in line with the growth agenda. Need an understanding of the full life cycle of small cells delivery including desktop surveys, The survey & planning stages, Build & Repair



• You will be expected to manage several different projects and prioritise your workload against agreed targets & SLA’s. You will Schedule & Manage all build activities taking ownership through to completion and be expected to deal with all the technical queries and workarounds with the local authorities, the Contractors & the customers and overcome any blockers. You will also be expected to manage some elements of the repair process.



• Drive the SLA's & quality of the workmanship in line with the contractual agreements and assist the Delivery Manager in remedial plans should the standards drop below that expected of the small cells build programme. Where necessary, being able to challenge and hold the contractors to account against standards including the checks of any handover documents which may range from electrical certification to build images.



• Support the delivery relationship between BT Wholesale and customers and help to anticipate their current and future demands. To attend, as necessary, Customer Meetings reporting on Technical/design Issues. key aspects of this role will include stakeholder & relationship management, developing effective working relationships with various MNO’s, third party contractors and local Councils



• Ability to interpret any new designs that are in the early stages of development and being able to give technical suggestions for improvements and working with the different stakeholders to implement the designs from trials to established processes


Skills and Experience

Skills required

• Stakeholder Management: Managing expectations and the level of stakeholder engagement. Ability to manage complex relationships within, and externally to, the small cells platform. Individual to be customer focussed, with particular attention to ensure that we understand the customer requirements correctly.

• Individual to demonstrate logical & creative thinking to reach a solution and Able to express ideas, explanations or opinions in a way that is appropriate to the situation, and understandable to audience.



• Presentation and engagement skills for an appropriate audience, taking complex data and presenting this simply and effectively. Good organisational skills, highly motivated with the ability to prioritise, manage and collaborate with other sales and delivery teams to ensure that customer issues are successfully executed and brought to closure.



• The role holder will possess strong programme management, delivery, and analytical capability. Removing all barriers to delivery & setting the framework for the success working closely in collaboration with key stakeholders



• Awareness of monitoring finance when instructing work to ensure work completes to agreed costs and with minimal rework and challenging costs where appropriate.




Experience you will be expected to have

• Technical ability to understand complex designs & methodology – Mandatory.



• Technical awareness of the openreach network including civils & any related engineering activities – Mandatory.



• You will have extensive experience of delivering large volumes of sites against agreed targets with the ability to prioritise your workload effectively - Mandatory.
