Overview
Training Delivery Instructor (Electrical and Mechanical Workshops) role at Capita as part of Project Selborne, aimed at modernising Royal Navy training to deliver better trained sailors to the front line faster.
What you'll be doing
* Delivering practical workshop techniques to Royal Navy students
* Teaching up to 16 students per class
* Working collaboratively with Learning & Development and the team of 10 Instructors
* Supporting with driving continuous improvement and learning
Essential - Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Experience in Electrical testing, Hand tools, Soldering and Tool Handling
* Must be able to achieve Enhanced DBS and Security Clearance
* Results-oriented with the ability to support quality and delivery improvements across learning programmes
* Team player with experience leading and collaborating across teams
* Knowledge and understanding of business strategy and providing support to identify solutions to deliver that strategy
Desired - Skills/Experience/Qualifications
* Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent
* Any teaching, instructing, coaching experience would be an advantage
About Project Selborne
Project Selborne is a £1 billion, 12-year contract which commenced operations on 1 April 2021. It is a strategic partnership between Team Fisher (a consortium of partners, led by Capita) and the Royal Navy, to transform 80% of shore-based training for sailors, submariners and marines.
We operate across 14 locations with a Whole Force approach, combining uniformed and non-uniformed colleagues to deliver modernisation, quality improvements and hands-on training using the latest learning techniques.
