Job Summary
To assess learner needs/skills through pre‑course assessments, develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) with SMART goals to address barriers/skills needs. Deliver outstanding, personalised, accredited/non‑accredited interventions with embedded personal/social development to help prepare learners for further learning, employment and improved confidence.
This role covers onsite delivery in Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield. Your base location will depend on where you live, with travel required to the other sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pre‑course assessments and Planning
* Administer screeners, initial and diagnostics assessments for each learner, and subsequently develop and maintain tailored ILPs (including action plans) with SMART targets.
* Plan lessons effectively and ensure that activities are innovative and differentiated towards individual learners (e.g., contextualised to their personal learning goals or chosen employment sector), and that learner support is effectively assessed, reviewed, implemented, and evaluated throughout the learner’s journey.
Training Delivery
Deliver accredited and/or non‑accredited training programmes to 19+ adults in any or some of the following subject areas (multi‑disciplinary trainers will be prioritised):
* Maths
* Digital
* Customer Service
* Business Administration
* Hospitality
* Warehousing & Logistics
* Health and Social Care
* Train, assess, motivate, mentor and support learners, assisting them to develop personal and social skills to better prepare them for work and independence.
* Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to learners, ensuring the curriculum provides appropriate stretch and challenge.
* Develop resources and bespoke materials to meet the needs of learners and employers.
* Promote and deliver training in accordance with qualification and centre guidelines.
* Embed Maths, English, Digital, Soft Skills and PDBA (Personal Development Behaviour & Attitudes) themes (including prevent/safeguarding) into delivery as required, or deliver them stand‑alone when needed.
* Provide effective additional support to learners with additional learning needs (e.g., SEND, ESOL).
* Undertake regular and meaningful reviews with learners to ensure engagement and progress.
Record Keeping
* Maintain learner records accurately, both hard copy and electronically, ensuring all evidence for all visits is readily available and accessible for audit and quality purposes.
Caseload Management
* Use MIS (including ILR) data to track learner progress against the ILP and KPIs, address trends via one‑on‑ones and action plans.
* Monitor learner attendance, progression and ensure completion of all teaching, learning and assessment components to meet qualification criteria.
Quality Assurance
* Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of key documents, policies and procedures (e.g., Self‑Assessment Reports and Quality Improvement Plans).
* Implement improvements identified from performance reviews and internal quality assurance.
* Participate in standardisation and team meetings, and complete professional development activities (including Observations of Teaching & Learning).
Professional Development
* Maintain own professional/occupational knowledge, skills and experience, including formal training and networking.
* Encourage and respond to learner and stakeholder feedback.
* Participate in staff review/performance management processes.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hold a minimum of a Level 3 teaching qualification (PTTLS or equivalent) and, where required, subject‑specific qualifications to support delivery to 19+ adults in the subject areas listed above.
* English and Maths to at least Functional Skills level 2.
* CTTLS.
* Level 3 Award Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement or equivalent.
* Level 4 Award in the Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice or equivalent.
* Experience using online learning platforms and portfolios.
* Experience deploying motivational strategies to develop individuals.
* Proven experience of adult or work‑based learning, teaching and assessment.
* Proven track record of delivering funded employability programmes with complex learners.
* IT literate—Microsoft Office 365, Teams and modern digital technologies.
* Track record of managing and supporting colleagues and learners face‑to‑face and remotely.
* Proven track record working with the unemployed on programmes that facilitate positive outcomes.
* Ability to plan and organise caseload and diary unsupervised.
* Strong team player.
* Excellent communication skills and forging strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
* Experience delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.
* Ability to meet and exceed retention and achievement targets for qualifications and progression outcomes.
* Ability to manage learner numbers within budgets and delivery profiles.
* Excellent presentation skills.
* Reliable and capable of fulfilling the employment contract (including good sickness record except for legitimate disability absences).
* Commitment to quality and customers.
* Flexible to work required (including evenings and weekends).
* Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the level of this post.

Travel Requirements
* Full driving licence and vehicle owner (desirable).
