Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and personable Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming primary schools in the Huddersfield area. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher, providing both individual and group support to ensure every child feels included and confident in their learning. From helping with classroom activities to supporting social and emotional development, your role will be varied, rewarding, and impactful.
The role includes:
* Support individual pupils and small groups in their learning
* Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
* Encourage pupil participation, positive behaviour, and engagement
* Help monitor and track pupil progress under teacher direction
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning space
* Support children’s communication skills and promote confidence and independence
* Adapt activities to meet the needs of all learners using creativity and initiative
* Contribute to creating a vibrant and supportive classroom environment
The ideal candidate:
* Has experience working in a primary school setting
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
* Must have (or willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check
