The Company:

Mtrec Commercial is proudly representing our highly established and successful client in their search for an experienced Import/Export Coordinator to join the team as soon as possible. If you have the required skills and experience, please apply for an immediate response!

The Role:

* Review schedules and facilitate the release of customer sales orders and related documentation.
* Manage commodity and tariff code administration.
* Coordinate the shipping of customer orders domestically and internationally using couriers, freight forwarders, customer intermediaries, and portals.
* Assist with Customs Clearance processes.
* Respond to queries related to Contracts, Sales, Customer Services, Quality, Purchasing, and Accounts.
* Provide information and prepare progress reports for management.
* Ensure compliance with export licensing requirements.
* Support activities for UK government departments, including the Export Control Unit and the Department for International Trade.
* Maintain record keeping and archiving.
* Track process quality issues affecting on-time delivery.
* Support continuous improvement programs for the company's Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental management system.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, general office hours.

About You:

* Well-organized with strong administrative and IT skills.
* Computer literate with the ability to use multiple applications.
* Previous experience and understanding of customs processes such as import/export declarations, VAT, tariff codes, commercial invoices, incoterms, and harmonized tariff codes.
* Self-starter capable of prioritizing work based on customer due dates.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Problem-solving abilities.
* At least 2 years of experience in domestic and international shipping.
* Experience with couriers, freight forwarders, and customer portals.
