Driver Hire Gatwick is currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our client based in Crawley. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for loading and unloading a variety of cargo using a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, as well as performing manual handling where required.
Key Duties:
1. Loading and unloading vehicles carrying mixed cargo
2. Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently
3. Using additional mechanical handling equipment as required
4. Completing manual handling tasks when necessary
5. Ensuring loads are secure and handled safely
6. Complying with all Health & Safety and on-site procedures
7. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
8. Valid Forklift Truck licence (Counterbalance or Reach depending on site requirements)
9. Previous experience loading/unloading vehicles
10. Ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly
11. Good understanding of manual handling procedures
12. High attention to safety and accuracy
13. PPE required: Hi‑Vis and Safety Boots
14. Own transport preferred for commuting to the depot
