We are looking for a Senior Technical Advisor: Noise and Vibration Engineer to join our team in Leatherhead, supporting our global design and engineering projects across a range of industry sectors. You will be part of the Technical Safety and Environmental Team and help deliver world‑class solutions in industrial acoustics, covering noise and vibration control in process equipment, piping, valves, HVAC, and architectural applications.
Roles And Responsibilities
* You will support design development and engineering work in the discipline of industrial acoustics, including:
o Identifying project‑specific legislation, standards, codes, practices, and procedures.
o Developing philosophies or bases of design.
o Developing calculations or models.
o Comparing predicted N&V levels against required limits.
o Supporting projects in identifying noise and vibration reduction, control, or mitigation measures.
o Supporting Package Responsible Engineers (PRE) during the procurement phase, particularly vendor liaisons.
* Under broad direction, you will interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.
* Apply advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes for an assigned area of responsibility.
Skills And Experience
* Expert level understanding of several areas of noise and vibration, with a good understanding of all other related areas.
* Ability to check and confirm completeness of deliverables.
* Experience leading project work on FEED or EPC projects.
* Relevant number of years of experience.
Educational Experience
* BEng or equivalent in science or engineering.
* Master's degree in engineering (preferred).
* Chartered Engineer: membership of an accredited institution, e.g. Institute of Acoustics (preferred).
