English Teacher
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Bury area. This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs looking to develop their career within a well-established and forward-thinking school environment.
This role is to start after the Easter half term with the view to continue till July 2026.

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary or Temp-to-Perm
Pay: £168.00 - £233.00 per day (Paid to Scale - PTS)
Role Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Support students of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs
* Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff
* Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and wider school life
Experience, Training & Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school (ECTs encouraged to apply)
* Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English
* Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete this)
Requirements
* Right to Work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Two professional references covering the last two years
