Overview
Equans is looking for a Mechanical Craftsperson (Water) to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What you will deliver
* Undertake the water system planned preventive maintenance, testing, breakdown maintenance and other maintenance related activities to the Estate
* Perform the complete range of Mechanical Craftsperson (Water) tasks as required or directed by management
* Be knowledgeable of and to work to ACoP L8 & HTM04-01
* Have knowledge of water systems within a commercial/healthcare environment and maintenance/testing activities
* Have knowledge of Legionella and other water pathogens
* Undertake temperature monitoring, shower head cleaning and disinfection, TMV servicing, buffer vessel blow downs, reactive maintenance (e.g., blockages), identifying and rectifying leaks, valve replacements, CLO2 checks
* Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to own trade, without supervision

Who are you
* NVQ or C&G Level 2 Heating/Vent/Plumbing
* Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness and training
* Water Hygiene within healthcare
* Previous healthcare environment experience (desirable)
This role includes a DBS Standard check; ability to pass is essential. You must have the right to work in the UK. We are not able to offer a relocation package. Some roles may require a Disclosure check.
