Job Title: Social Care Consultant - Children's Residential Services
Location: Remote (with travel across North West)
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per year (including bonus)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Responsible Individual to provide strategic oversight, guidance, and professional support across multiple children's residential homes in Greater London.
In this senior leadership role, you will influence practice, strengthen safeguarding, ensure regulatory compliance, and support Registered Managers to deliver outstanding care for vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure homes comply with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
* Provide visible leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Registered Managers.
* Lead safeguarding initiatives and embed robust, accountable practices.
* Support homes through Ofsted inspections, aiming for 'Good' or 'Outstanding' outcomes.
* Advise on operational management, including budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
* Champion staff training, development, and performance management.
* Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and child-centred practice.
About You
* Minimum 3 years' senior leadership or consultancy experience in children's residential care.
* NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards).
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Proven ability to influence practice and improve outcomes for children.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
