We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Staff Nurses to join our dedicated healthcare team within HMP Grampian. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals affected by substance use in a secure environment.
As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will lead on the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for people with complex substance use needs. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring continuity of care and supporting harm reduction strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing colleagues in the management of substance use cases.
* Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred care plans.
* Administer and monitor opioid substitution therapy and other relevant treatments.
* Promote recovery-focused interventions and harm reduction approaches.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with NHS Grampian and HMP Grampian policies and standards.
About You
* Registered Nurse RMN/RGN with current NMC registration.
* Significant experience in substance use services or mental health nursing.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a challenging environment.
