Your new role As Operations Manager, you will form part of the senior leadership team with full accountability for end-to-end operational performance across manufacturing, planning, procurement and site at both a strategic and operational level, you will be responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that all functions are aligned to deliver sustainable gains in productivity, efficiency, quality and customer outcomes. You will lead the development and execution of the site's operational strategy, embedding best-in-class processes, governance and performance disciplines. A key aspect of this role will be ownership of performance reporting and business insight. You will develop robust KPI frameworks, utilise data to identify improvement opportunities and regularly present operational performance, risks and strategic initiatives at group and board level. As such, the ability to communicate with clarity, confidence and credibility in senior forums is essential. Working cross-functionally with commercial, technical and group stakeholders, you will play a critical role in scaling operations, strengthening supply chain capability and ensuring the site is positioned to meet current and future demand. You will lead, coach and develop multifunctional teams, fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability, engagement and continuous improvement principles. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will bring significant experience in a senior operations or manufacturing leadership position within a fast-paced, engineering-led will demonstrate a proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent), delivering measurable improvements across key operational metrics such as OTIF, cost, quality and efficiency. Experience in implementing structured performance management frameworks and utilising data to inform strategic decisions will be critical. You will be highly confident in producing, analysing and presenting operational reports to senior stakeholders, including board-level audiences within a group structure. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate operational data into clear, strategic insight will set you apart. In addition, you will bring strong expertise in manufacturing, supply chain and planning environments. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and performance analytics. A track record of leading change, transformation and cultural improvement programmes. The ability to influence, challenge and collaborate at senior leadership and group level. Above all, you will be a credible corporate leader with a strong executive presence capable of operating in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment while driving accountability, performance and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
