An Opportunity has arisen within the CLD Youth Services Team for a Community Education Worker. The post will be Fixed Term until March 2026. You will support specified communities and projects, to plan, organise, deliver and support Youth Services provision to young people across West Lothian who have or are at risk of disengaging from education with a focus on early intervention and wide ranging, sustained support, including a fully integrated professional service to improve young people’s chances of leaving school to a positive destination and support the conditions for sustainable economic growth in West Lothian.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
