In this key role, duties will include the following :
* Leading and mentoring the sales team
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
* Quickly assessing and understanding customer requirements to provide the appropriate solutions
* Liaison with a number of internal departments to produce quotations and proposals
* Offering promotional and new product advice
* Following up on quotations and negotiating terms
* Ensuring successful customer service throughout project life cycles
* Identifying and prospecting new clients
What you will need to succeed:
* A proven track record within heavy engineering essential
* Qualification in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
* Understanding of engineering and heavy plant essential, including hydraulics and pneumatics
* Thorough understanding of technical concepts
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
* Excellent IT skills including ERP/CRM software
* First rate communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of clients
* Strong commercial acumen
