Offer description

About the role:

MAG is hiring a Logistics Manager who will play a central role in establishing and leading MAG’s logistics function in Sudan, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of programme activities in a complex start-up context. You will be responsible for setting up and overseeing procurement, supply chain, fleet and asset management, warehousing, and field support systems. Working closely with senior management and security colleagues, you will ensure that MAG’s operations remain compliant, efficient, and aligned with donor requirements and humanitarian best practice. This is a strategic and hands-on role, requiring strong leadership, system design, and problem-solving skills to build a robust logistics platform that supports MAG’s mission in Sudan.

About you:

As Logistics Manager, you will bring significant experience in logistics management within humanitarian or development programmes, including supply chains in complex or high-risk environments. Skilled in procurement compliance, contract management and audit processes, you have a proven ability to manage stock, assets and logistics hubs while ensuring transparency and accountability. You are an experienced team manager who can develop local staff capacity and foster a culture of high performance. With strong planning and analytical skills, excellent IT literacy, and fluency in English, you combine technical expertise with resilience, flexibility and sound judgement.

Experience in start-up contexts, mine action support, or working in Sudan/the Horn of Africa, as well as Arabic language skills, will be a distinct advantage. Above all, you are committed to MAG’s humanitarian values and motivated to ensure safe, effective and principled operations.

About the Sudan programme:

MAG has been previously operational in Sudan and is re-establishing its programme in response to high humanitarian mine action needs as a result of the ongoing conflict. With programme start-up ongoing, MAG plans to scale up programming to conduct emergency survey, clearance and explosive ordnance risk education activities, in support of humanitarian delivery and early post-conflict recovery in conflict-affected communities.

Benefits and further information:

MAG staff are rewarded with comprehensive benefits – you can read the candidate information sheet in the application pack for further details:

1. Salary: £49,860 per annum including all allowances and this increases with service.
2. Accommodation: MAG will provide accommodation in-country.

4. Flights: MAG provides three international flights home per year.
5. Insurance: Programme based staff are automatically covered by MAG's comprehensive insurance package including: Personal accident and medical expenses insurance; Death by natural causes insurance and access to 24-hour medical assistance.
