At OFG we believe in creating a better work life balance. The Foundation Subjects Lead Teacher role is located at Norton College, Tewkesbury, GL20 8UQ. Hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Salary is £48,941.77 per annum (not pro rata). The contract is Permanent, Term Time Only, with a start date of September 2026 or sooner. The role is open to UK applicants only, with no sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of ambitious, accessible and engaging foundation subject curricula.
* Drive curriculum development across all foundation subjects, modelling best practice and supporting accurate assessment and reporting.
* Work with senior leaders to develop accreditation routes, qualification pathways and compliant UAS delivery.
* Build strong, professional relationships that promote engagement, creativity, confidence and wellbeing.
* Support students with SEMH needs, including autism, to access learning and manage regulation effectively.
* Champion the school's ethos, values and cultural capital through subject leadership and whole-school initiatives.
* Support and develop colleagues through training, CPD and shared subject expertise.
* Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and reporting in line with school policies.
