SEN TEACHER OPPORTUNITY (DURHAM) Step into a classroom where connection comes before curriculum and every small success is celebrated. We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring teacher to join a specialist primary provision supporting children with special educational needs. This role welcomes mainstream teachers who are eager to develop expertise in SEN and therapeutic teaching approaches. Pupils may present with complex emotional and behavioural needs, and you will play a vital role in helping them feel safe, regulated, and ready to engage in learning. Your classroom will be a nurturing environment where routines, relationships, and resilience are key. Your responsibilities will include: Teaching and supporting pupils with a range of SEN Implementing personalised education plans Using trauma-informed and sensory strategies Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour Working closely with support staff and external professionals We are seeking a teacher who is warm, patient, and confident in working with vulnerable pupils.
