Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant for a business based in the Birmingham area. This role offers great exposure in a growing business, working closely with the Management Accountant you will gain invaluable experience and the opportunity to further your career.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing accruals, prepayments, depreciation and monthly & year end journals
* Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, including postings and account reconciliations
* Reporting on debtors and creditors and delivering and dealing with invoice queries/disputes
* Completing Balance sheet, Control Accounts, Bank & Company Credit Cards reconciliations on monthly basis
* Monitoring and managing daily financial operations, cash flow, and inter-company transactions
* Reviewing & Submitting VAT and annual returns, reconciling to the accounting system
* Liaising with HMRC and other professional bodies as required
* Point of contact for internal and external finance queries, dealing with telephone calls and emails providing general finance advice and general admin support from time to time to other colleagues
* Assist with the yearend process and liaise with external auditors
Essential requirements:
* Sage experience
* Studying a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Excellent Excel skills
