About This Opportunity
CarnaudMetalbox Engineering are recruiting for a Buyer to join our Purchasing team based at Shipley, West Yorkshire.
Your mission in CMbE
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to be able to negotiate prices with suppliers and place purchase orders, ensuring schedule reporting and delivery promises are maintained by suppliers with information communicated to the project and engineering teams. The candidate will use a methodical and organised approach to complete commercial checks of payment terms, delivery terms and Terms and Conditions to ensure that the Supplier and our Client's terms are aligned.
The successful candidate will be a team player but will also be able to work independently and self-sufficiently, with self-motivation. We are looking for a determined and resilient individual, with a strong problem-solving ability to be able to resolve PO queries or invoice mismatches. The candidate will liaise with business units to communicate and improve delivery and use their knowledge of MRP Systems to be able to update information accordingly.
About You
Candidates should be qualified or working towards CIPS Level 4 and have a good knowledge and understanding of Purchasing Best Practices. We are seeking a proactive, organised professional with a customer-focused mindset and a positive approach to implementing change. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a commercial engineering environment and committed to upholding ethical business practices.
