Team Leader – Bury St Edmunds, Support to Live at Home
Location: Bury Community Hub, Hollow Road
Salary: £13.10/hr + Enhancements | Employee-Owned Organisation
Contract: 32 Hour Contract

The Role
We’re looking for a hardworking, proactive Team Leader to coach and support our Bury Supported Living team in delivering meaningful social care. This role requires someone who can think on their feet, solve day-to-day challenges independently, and take ownership of operational decisions without direct Service Manager support.
You’ll be the vital link between team members and management—driving quality, culture, and consistency while ensuring our customers live the lives they choose.

What You’ll Do
* Lead by example and mentor your team
* Promote dignity, inclusion, and person-centred care
* Carry out audits, medication observations, and staff supervisions
* Be accessible to your team and act as the first point of contact for operational queries
* Support rota planning, care planning, and ensure tasks are completed to a high standard
* Be available out of hours to provide advice and support when required
* Work every other weekend and undertake sleep-in duties
* Arrange visits, tours, and initial assessments for new referrals
* Build strong relationships with professionals and landlords to ensure repairs are completed promptly
* Uphold Health & Safety standards and follow Leading Lives policies and procedures
* Act as a role model and embed a positive work culture within the team
* Work openly and honestly with customers and professionals to shape service delivery
What You’ll Need
* Level 3 in Social Care (or equivalent)
* Strong communication, leadership, and IT skills
* Experience in social care and a passion for people
* A good work ethic and the drive to go the extra mile
* Confidence to work independently and solve problems effectively
