Gillies of Broughty Ferry are looking for a creative, high-energy Department Supervisor to lead our Home Accessories team. If you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and have a passion for interior styling, we want to hear from you.
The Role
As the Supervisor of the Home Accessories Department you will oversee the daily operations of our home accessories throughout the whole store in Broughty Ferry alongside our cookshop, linen and gift departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and guide a small team of sales assistants to provide exceptional customer service and operate efficiently.
* Visual Merchandising: Maintain high level standards. You'll be responsible for refreshing displays and implementing seasonal floor plans withing our cookshop, linen and gift departments.
* Commercial Awareness: Monitor stock levels, react quickly to top selling lines & trends and work with the team to hit sales targets.
* Operational Integrity: Manage incoming deliveries, price labelling and loss prevention within the department.
Who You Are
* The Trendsetter: We are looking for someone creative with an interest in interiors, someone who enjoys creating eye-catching displays.
* The Leader: You have previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role however this is not a requirement.
* The Problem Solver: You're proactive, organised and can manage time efficiently.
* The Communicator: You can talk to anyone—from explaining a product's craftsmanship to coaching a team member on their sales technique.
Hours of work are 34 hours per week and include weekend working.
