About the Practice
Our client is a two-branch, independent practice in Newcastle Upon Tyne seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to embark on an exciting journey with them. They have over 50 years of commitment to Newcastle's beloved pets and are a close-knit team blending seasoned professionals with fresh perspectives. Facilities include ultrasound, digital x-ray, a full in-house Idexx lab, and specialised wards, with ongoing expansion.
Team and Responsibilities
The dedicated support team includes 2 Vets, 2 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 1 VCA, 3 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will work across two branches, performing routine first opinion consultations, surgeries, and handling emergencies. At the Tynemouth practice you will have the opportunity to take the reins in some solo charge situations.
Rota
* Full time - 4 day week
* Part time or flexible hours will be considered
* 8.30am - 6.30pm with a fixed day off each week
* 1:4 Saturday mornings (9am - 1pm)
* No ooh
Ideal Candidate
The role requires an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join the team as the practice grows. The ideal candidate will have a few years of post-qualification experience and be comfortable working both within the larger team and in sole charge. They are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and perspective to the team.
