Position Overview
Senior Solicitors are experienced, qualified solicitors who supervise the work of our solicitors, trainees and legal analysts on a day‑to‑day basis. They play a proactive role supporting the senior team with strategic management and delivery of matters, and with the development of our junior team. They are expected to lead certain projects and, when required, to step up to managerial roles.
Senior Solicitors are likely to have a particular area of specialism within Corporate, being capable of delivering complex work and of developing processes and know‑how for the wider team.
Primary Responsibilities
* Scoping and setting‑up new matters and conducting fee‑earning work directly, while supervising and training teams.
* Supporting pricing at the outset of a matter and assisting in managing costs and billing throughout.
* Maintaining an up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant areas of law, providing technical excellence in one (or more) specialist areas of the corporate practice.
* Working with legal technology tools appropriate to the matter (e.g. AI tools for due diligence) and keeping up to date with technological advances.
* Assisting with preparing pitch documents and attending client presentations, while further contributing to business development.
* Liaising with clients and teams elsewhere in the firm as required on fee‑earning or other projects.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales or Northern Ireland (Republic of Ireland or other common‑law jurisdictions will be considered). If not qualified in England and Wales, willingness to complete the process to re‑qualify is required.
* A minimum of 3 years PQE, with most experience ideally in Corporate, particularly M&A. Applicants who do not meet the 3‑year PQE requirement but have exceptional circumstances (e.g. substantial time spent on Corporate work during or before a training contract) may submit a supporting statement.
* Proven experience of supervising and supporting a legal team.
