Job Title: Children’s Support worker/Personal Assistant
Hours per week (term time): 6 hours per week across 2 evenings per week (6-9pm). The day of work will vary and you would be advised of the days required in advance.
Hours per week (school holidays): 9 hours per week across 2 days per week (5-9pm).
Location: Penrhyn Bay, Conwy
Rate of pay: £14.50 per hour
About me
I am looking for a children’s support worker for my 10‑year‑old son. He is a kind, playful boy who loves jigsaws, music, cars, reading and baking. I am looking for someone to pick him up from after‑school club and take him home, and support him within the home. The ideal candidate would be imaginative, take part in all activities he enjoys, and support and encourage him to build independence, make his own decisions and be praised for achievements. You would need to be a driver with access to a vehicle, with class 1 business insurance.
Task and duties
* Pick my son up from after‑school club and take him home 2 nights per week.
* Support my son within the home on these evenings and do tasks he enjoys such as jigsaws, baking and reading.
* Help and encourage with his feeding and help getting ready for bed, putting on PJs and brushing teeth.
* Prompt him to take his evening medications.
* Encourage him to do tasks for himself and make his own decisions.
* Complete any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role, as discussed and mutually agreed.
* Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.

The role is dependent upon a DBS and 2 references.
