Overview
An opportunity to join Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust as a static Band 6 Occupational Therapist within the Acute Therapies team. This role will primarily support acute medical admissions into AMU but will work across a diverse range of clinical areas, including respiratory, cardiac, elderly care, general medicine, and surgery. Occupational Therapy plays a vital role in the acute care setting, ensuring patients experience a seamless and positive journey during their inpatient stay and beyond. The team collaborates closely with physiotherapy colleagues, the wider multidisciplinary team, and community partners. The Trust places a strong emphasis on staff support and professional development.
Salary: £44,485 to £52,521 a year (per annum, inclusive of HCAS, outer pro rata).
Main duties / Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for assessment, treatment planning and intervention delivery for patients referred to their caseload. They will supervise junior staff, technicians, assistants and students as appropriate. They will participate in development and monitoring of service standards, assist in running the day-to-day service, and participate in the weekend working rota.
