Commissioning Manager, Older People, Ageing Well & Dementia
Grade: 14 (£46,731 - £47,754)
Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Location: 6 Knowsley Place with agile working (typically 2 days per week in the office - Mondays & Thursdays)
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commissioning Team. The post will:
1. Be responsible for commissioning services from a range of Care Providers to support people over 50+ to live well and promote independence.
2. Contribute to and implement commissioning strategies that deliver change, such as leading workshops with social workers, providers, and residents to understand the needs of older people and those living with dementia.
3. Lead the creation of innovative approaches to high-quality, affordable, and outcomes-focused services.
Candidate requirements
You will have thorough knowledge of legislation governing social care, as well as relevant national and local strategies related to health and social care needs. You should possess a good understanding of commissioning and strategy, with excellent communication and negotiation skills to ensure outcomes are achieved through joint working. Solution-focused, experienced in working with people at different organizational levels, and capable of handling complex information.
Staff development includes access to coaching and development opportunities such as apprenticeships.
