About You

We’re searching for an experienced, confident Project Leader with a strong background in physical product delivery, manufacturing/operational implementation but with some experience of IT/Software delivery. You will lead new product introduction (NPI), supplier integration, and end-to-end operational readiness – taking hardware‑enabled solutions from concept through production and into live service. This is not a role for Scrum Masters or Software only Project Managers.

Experience

* 10+ years’ experience managing projects across hardware, firmware, software, and operational process improvement.
* Proven success delivering complex projects, including planning, prioritisation, and resource management.
* Evidence of strong stakeholder management.
* Experience producing resource‑levelled development plans.
* Strong background in structured lifecycle delivery (Service Design, documentation, configuration management, Service Acceptance).
* Proficiency with project tools such as Jira and Microsoft Project.
* Bonus: Experience in Telecare or Telecoms environments.

Qualifications & Training

* Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile PM, or equivalent).
* Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
* Desirable: Lean Six Sigma certification.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

* Solid understanding and use of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and how to integrate them across mixed delivery models.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross‑functional teams.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on practical, innovative solutions.
* Strong working knowledge of structured development lifecycles, including specification, testing, documentation, and service readiness.
* Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Personal Attributes

* Confident communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Analytical mindset and data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
* Resilient under pressure, flexible, and comfortable navigating complex or changing environments.

THE ROLE

As a Delivery Project Manager, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex operational and technical projects – bringing new products and services into live operation while driving impactful process improvements. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure every project is delivered with quality, structure, and efficiency. This role is not focused on software sprint management or pure IT change delivery. We are looking for someone comfortable working with physical products, suppliers, operations teams and manufacturing environments. However, our product has a high IT component and so some knowledge of technical projects would be an advantage.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Planning, Execution & Delivery Management

* Develop and maintain detailed project roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans.
* Communicate effectively with senior leaders, internal teams, and suppliers.
* Track progress, manage risks, and keep stakeholders aligned.
* Prepare regular reports, maintain RAID logs, and support governance boards.

Coordination with Internal & External Teams

* Collaborate with operations, development, testing, supply chain, finance, legal and more.
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure smooth integration with internal work.
* Facilitate cross‑functional teamwork across engineering, operations, and external partners.

Product & Service Delivery + Continuous Improvement

* Oversee delivery and operational readiness for new products and services.
* Review project progress, ensuring milestones and requirements are met.
* Resolve issues quickly by coordinating with the right teams.
* Lead operational improvement projects using Lean and Continuous Improvement best practice.

Project Planning & Resource Management

* Create resource‑balanced plans aligned with business capacity.
* Identify capability gaps and manage outsourcing when needed.

Structured Development Lifecycle Governance

* Ensure Service Design and specifications are complete before delivery begins.
* Oversee documentation, configuration management, and Service Acceptance readiness.

Post‑Launch Support Design & Implementation

* Define and implement support structures for seamless service launch.
* Ensure troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support processes are in place.
* Capture feedback after launch and drive continuous improvement.

Change & Quality Management

* Manage change control processes and communicate impacts clearly.
* Ensure all deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.
* Conduct post‑implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.

Budget & Vendor Management

* Manage project budgets and ensure cost‑effective delivery.
* Oversee supplier contracts, ensuring performance and alignment with project needs.
