Take home more without sacrificing your evenings or weekends.
Many surveyors move for better pay but end up working longer hours. Here, your time stays yours. You’ll still earn above the market average, but without losing your work-life balance.
You’ll work in a collaborative environment where support isn’t lip service — it’s built into the culture. The Bristol team are known for being hands-on, approachable and genuinely invested in helping each other progress.
If you’re working towards Chartership, you’ll have all the tools to get there. Structured training, APC mentoring and direct access to Chartered professionals who’ve walked the path themselves. You set the pace — no pressure, no unnecessary deadlines, just consistent support.
There’s no micromanagement or rigid office policy either. You’ll be trusted to manage your diary, and if you need to leave early or start late, that’s fine. There are no personal fee targets, just a generous bonus scheme that rewards collective success and quality of work — not how many hours you log.
You’ll have variety too — from project delivery and design to professional instructions and client work. No two days are the same, and you’ll develop across every aspect of Building Surveying rather than being boxed into one specialism.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
* Deliver commercial and public-sector projects across Bristol and the South West, from refurbishments and fit-outs to major redevelopments (£500k-£6m+).
* Lead on dilapidations, technical due diligence, building surveys, and contract administration.
* Develop client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.
* Mentor and support APC candidates as they progress towards Chartership.
What you’ll need:
* Around 4–8 years’ experience in Building Surveying, ideally within a consultancy environment.
* A balance of technical competence and people skills — someone who enjoys managing projects and clients.
* MRICS (or working towards it) with a good grounding in construction, design, and legislation.
* A proactive approach — the team here thrive on initiative, not instruction.
