The Best Connection are looking to recruit HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers to work with their client based in Felling, Gateshead. Our client is a leading name in the general haulage and waste sector. Although the role is heavy, there is a Drivers Mate to assist with loading and unloading the vehicle.
The Role:
* Collecting waste and electrials from local household recycling centers
* Collections include fridges, freezers, TV etc, so heavy lifting is involved
* Drivers Mate is provided to help load and unload the vehicle
* This is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and a friendly attitude are essential.
The Candidate:
* Must hold a valid UK Class 1 (LGV C+E) driving licence.
* Minimum 2 years of commercial Class 1 driving experience required.
* No more than 6 points on license.
* Smart appearance with a positive, customer-focused approach.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hours & Pay:
* Monday to Friday shift pattern.
* 07:00 AM start time.
* £14.25 per hour (PAYE) Monday to Friday
* £21.37 per hour (PAYE) on weekends and bank holidays
