Finance Director - Part-Time (2 days per week) – Norwich – £Competitive (Pro Rata) A privately owned SME business is looking to bring in an FD on a part-time basis to help provide strategic direction to grow the business to the next level. There is a finance team in place, and you will help to mentor and develop them. You will work closely with the Board and senior leadership team, providing strategic and hands-on financial leadership to support the next phase of growth. This is a high-impact role in an ambitious business looking to scale. What You’ll Do: You’ll take ownership of the numbers and turn them into decisions. You’ll improve visibility around margins, pricing, stock and cash, strengthen financial controls, and build reporting that genuinely drives the business forward. Longer‑term planning, budgeting and forecasting sit with you, along with guiding and developing a small finance team so the basics run smoothly and the function becomes more effective. What You Need: Proven experience as a Finance Director, ideally within an SME or owner-led business (£20m turnover) Commercially astute, with the ability to turn numbers into actionable insight Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on Strong stakeholder skills, with confidence working directly with a business owner Experience in product, service, or operational environments advantageous Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred This is a rare opportunity to shape the financial direction of a growing business, with direct access to the owner and leadership team.
