The Job youll do Due to our clients continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled machinist to program and operate a Horizontal Machining Centre.
Able to work unsupervised and interpret engineering drawings to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard.
Program set and operate Fanuc controlled horizontal machining centres.
Inspecting work using standard measuring equipment, to offer assistance to colleagues as a Lead Hand working with the Production Supervisors to report any general employee issues, planning jobs, tooling etc.
Be on hand to help with any problems that may arise on the shift.
Work with supervisors and colleagues to increase production, efficiency and safety.
About You Must be qualified to a minimum BTEC & NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time served Mechanical Engineer.
Must have the ability and experience to program set & operate machines to drawings and instructions.
Experience operating Fanuc controls will be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given.
Be able to set tool offsets.
Be competent at inspecting work using standard measuring equipment.
