Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a GPhC registered Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Technical Services team in our Pharmacy Production Unit, at Glan Clwyd Hospital. The unit provides SACT preparation, parenteral nutrition, RadioPharmacy, general CIVAS, and holds a specials manufacturing licence for non-sterile activity. The role will support the Lead Production Pharmacist with our Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) and help shape the future service model as the Transforming Access to Medicines (TrAMS) programme develops.
Main duties
This post offers developmental opportunity for a registered GPhC Pharmacist currently at Band 6 who wishes to progress to Band 7 through a structured development plan over 12 months. Starting salary depends on experience. As a registered GPhC pharmacist in Technical Services you will perform the role of an authorised pharmacist and demonstrate working knowledge of the legal framework for production. The role provides operational support for all aspects of production activity, including aseptic and non-sterile preparation.

Qualifications And/or Knowledge
* MPharm degree or equivalent
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Desirable criteria
* Post Graduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
* Accredited or eligible to be accredited as a Cardiff University Clinical Pharmacy diploma tutor
Experience
* Broad post-registration hospital pharmacy experience
