Vision: To be the UK’s leading digital infrastructure partner, enabling a fully connected future
Mission: Deliver reliable, high quality site access, infrastructure and services that support our customers’ evolving connectivity needs.
The Role
This role owns how data is governed, structured, analysed, and turned into insight across the business. It ensures that data is: Trusted (governance), Accessible (Architecture), Understood (Reporting) and Actionable (Insights & Analytics)
Why this role Matters
This role is critical to ensuring the business operates on trusted, consistent data, enabling confident, data-driven decision-making at every level. By bringing together governance, architecture, reporting, and insight, it creates a single, reliable foundation for how performance is understood and managed.
It also plays a key role in unlocking the full value of data across the organisation—turning complex information into clear insight that drives better outcomes, improves efficiency, and supports strategic growth.
Finally, this role lays the groundwork for the future, ensuring the business has the data quality, structure, and scalability needed to fully leverage advanced analytics and AI capabilities.
What you’ll do:
* Define and evolve the enterprise data architecture, delivering a scalable, secure Azure-based data platform
* Own and optimise the business intelligence and reporting landscape, including Power BI dashboards and executive reporting
* Oversee data engineering workflows and pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ensure reliable, timely, and accurate data availability
* Drive advanced analytics and AI readiness, enabling data to support machine learning, forecasting, and RAG use cases
* Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategy and improve business performance
* Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Technology to embed data-driven decision making
* Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary data team, setting direction, standards, and a culture of continuous improvement
* Manage vendor relationships and platform performance, ensuring strong SLAs, stability, and ongoing optimisation
What you’ll bring:
* You’ll bring a strong track record of leading data functions, combining expertise in governance, architecture, analytics, and reporting to build a trusted, scalable data environment. You’re technically credible, with experience across modern data platforms and BI tools, alongside a sharp focus on data quality and compliance.
* Just as importantly, you’re a commercially minded leader who can translate complex data into clear insight, influence senior stakeholders, and drive data-led decision making. You’re comfortable setting strategy while delivering through teams, and passionate about building the foundations that enable advanced analytics and AI at scale.
