National Income Service Income Recovery Officer - 32301
The National Income Service (NIS) sends over 100,000 invoices to customers and collects approximately £400 million of regulatory charges and fees into the Environment Agency. As a single point of contact for income with a focus on billing and debt activities across the organisation, the NIS is responsible for maximizing income recovery.
We are looking for two motivated G3 Income Recovery Officers for up to 12-month contracts to support our organisational delivery objectives. The successful candidates will work with diverse colleagues across the country, communicate with customers to discuss outstanding payments, and build strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Maximize income recovery by engaging customers through written and verbal contact.
* Respond to incidents and support incident role when required.
* Analyse and interpret data to support business activities and drive improvements.
* Maintain high quality outcomes, embrace and suggest innovative ideas.
* Manage own workload within a dispersed team, prioritising varied tasks.
Experience and Skills Required
* Great communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in debt collections or customer service preferred.
* Confidence in producing and analysing data, translating evidence into actionable steps.
* Ability to share findings, themes and trends via written and verbal formats.
* Resilient and flexible to manage and prioritise workload.
Additional Information
Base location is flexible within the NIS team. Travel to Environment Agency offices or meeting venues may occasionally be required. Interviews are expected to take place via Teams on 8th December.
