Job Advert: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Dorchester
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a difference in their education? We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Dorchester through a flexible and supportive supply agency. This role offers both part-time and long-term opportunities, with the option for day-to-day bookings or more extended placements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support to a primary school pupil, tailoring your approach to their individual needs.
* Assist in the delivery of lessons and activities to ensure full participation and understanding.
* Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), encouraging their development and progress in line with their learning goals.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
* Work closely with the class teacher and other school staff to monitor and review progress.
Requirements:
* Experience working with SEN pupils is essential, as the role involves supporting children with additional needs.
* Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one (we can assist with this process).
* A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
* Flexibility and adaptability, as you may be required to work across different year groups and adapt to changing needs.
