Position Summary This position maintains, repairs, and calibrates electronic systems and equipment for the institution. The position also will plan and install new electronic security systems including modification and expansion of present systems. maintain, repair, and calibrate the most advanced and complex electronic systems and equipment. May need to respond to calls for emergency repairs during off hours. Salary Information This classification is in pay schedule/range 06-63. The salary will be between $46,820 and $86,403 annually, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Job Details Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. Qualifications Knowledge of principles, practices, methods, material and techniques of the most advanced and complex electronic security hardware installation and repair; computer and security related electronic systems; function and use of test equipment such as test sources, test meters and oscilloscopes; institution rules, policies, procedures and philosophy. Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair systems containing tubes, semi-conductors and integrated circuits and a wide variety of specialized electronic equipment and computers; interpret drawings, specifications and schematics of complete systems; work effectively with contractors, consultants, engineers and staff.
