Role Description
Oaklands College is looking for a motivated, organised and people‑focused Admissions Apprentice to join our busy Admissions team.
This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart a career in administration, customer service and education while working towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.
You’ll play a key part in supporting prospective students on their journey from enquiry to enrolment, ensuring every applicant receives a positive and professional experience.
What You\'ll Be Doing
* Providing first‑line support to students, parents and stakeholders via email, phone and face‑to‑face
* Supporting the processing of applications for 16–19, adult and higher education courses
* Assisting with interviews, appointments, open days and enrolment events
* Maintaining accurate student records and completing data entry duties
* Preparing routine correspondence and supporting general administrative tasks
* Using College systems and CRM platforms to track applicant progress
* Working collaboratively with Admissions, Marketing and wider College teams
* Attending off‑the‑job training and applying learning to day‑to‑day tasks
Requirements
* Keen interest in administration, business, or customer service
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
* Willingness to learn and develop
* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
* GCSE English & Maths 4 or above
* Previous admin or customer-facing experience
* Interest in education or student services
