Two posts available We are seeking Consultant Physicians to join us in delivering high quality medicine to older people in Fife; working within a very enthusiastic department, which is fully integrated with acute and general medicine. This post will allow our department to continue to provide ongoing care in our acute services, community hospitals and Hospital at Home Teams. Applicants will participate in weekday and weekend acute medical receiving with attracts 2 PAs of this role. We also continue to work in conjunction with our colleagues in Health and Social Care to develop community services that aim to recognise frailty and to join up care services and management within the pre-hospital environment. You will be expected to fulfil an accepted clinical role as a consultant in the specialty and play an active part in the day-to-day management of the service as well as support the wider service objectives of NHS Fife in regard to the care of patients with complex frailty. Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded.
