Protocol Education is looking for confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Shrewsbury. Whether you’re building experience before teacher training or simply enjoy working with young people, this flexible role could be just the ticket.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll keep lessons on track when teachers are away. That means delivering pre-set work, managing behaviour, and helping pupils stay focused and engaged—all with the support of school staff.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supervising classes in Key Stages 3 and 4
* Keeping behaviour calm and consistent with school policies
* Supporting pupils, including those with additional needs, to stay on task
* Building positive relationships with students and colleagues
* Delivering lessons smoothly using the plans provided
What we’re looking for:
* Right to work in the UK (passport or BRP + share code)
* An Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad
* Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, sports coaching etc.)
* Confident communication and behaviour management skills
* A calm, professional approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
