Lead M&E Shift Engineer – NIGHTS ONLY - London Liverpool Street – Up to £55,000 per annum Are you an experienced Lead Night Shift Engineer looking for a new challenge? CBW is currently recruiting for a Lead Night Shift Engineer to be based at a recently completed, high-profile development in the City. This flagship building offers a modern, high-spec working environment within a landmark location. The successful candidate will work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7pm–7am), carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across all areas of the building. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the building operates efficiently and safely during night hours, maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence. Key Duties & Responsibilities Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the entire site Ensure all engineering and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date Manage and monitor building systems, including BMS, lighting, and HVAC Conduct routine checks and testing – emergency lighting, fire alarms, and statutory systems Complete small electrical/mechanical installations and repairs Liaise with daytime teams to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of service Support site audits and ensure readiness for inspections Ensure all health, safety, and compliance standards are met Hours of Work Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Hours: 7:00pm – 7:00am Requirements Electrical or Mechanical qualifications – Level 2/3 NVQ or City & Guilds (or equivalent) Multi-skilled background (electrical and mechanical maintenance) Experience working in a commercial building maintenance environment Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during night shifts Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious Familiarity with E-Log books and building management systems (BMS) Please send your CV to Katie at CBW Staffing Solutions for more information.
