Responsibilities
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
* Oversee all aspects of food production, including preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Manage inventory and ensure the availability of fresh ingredients while minimising waste.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and teamwork.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards before serving to guests.
* Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
